My favorite small guitar shop in Bangkok has apparently become the exclusive distributor for Grote guitars in Thailand. I stumbled upon this today..they opened up a new store across the hall from existing shop and loaded with mainly Grote stock. Wow..they look great in person.

I take it this means you are soon to "founder yourself" on Grotes?

Not crazy about the colors...if they get a natural in that old 335 style I definitely would grab it.

I'm more impressed that they have the guitars hung such that the head stock of the bottom one is in front of the body of the one above. All my hung guitars go straight down because of physics and stuff. I assume they have some sort of support/guide to do that, but I'd imagine that opens up unnecessary possibilities of the body of a guitar bashing another's head while removing it from the rack.
EDIT: Just realized that the red guitar to the right is also in front of the top guitar. I just realized the possibility of the hangers being at different lengths... And here I thought I was smart...

I had a Grote 335 and thought the build quality was slightly better than the Fireflys, but definately had better appointments (binding & such).
I sold it because of the color, I thought it was a washed out FWP color.

I spent over twice what it was worth on add ons and upgrades but it was well worth it. Nice neck on the chunky side. More chunky than an Epi or many other 335 styles.
