There were upwards of 500 people there for the vaccine where I went.
I was #332.
I saw exactly one lady get hauled to the hospital (by EMTs) for an adverse reaction.
She had the reaction within 60 seconds of getting it.
I would advise googling the vaccine your mom will get and verify she isn't allergic to anything it contains.
Glad to hear it Mickey, best of luck on the 2nd round and hope things stay clear until then. I got a flu shot last fall and had a sore arm for a couple of days too, but then I again I had a sore arm and bruising from a blood draw at routine physical too.
My wife got the first shot of the Pfizer version on Tuesday. She had minor soreness in her arm, but the secret government tracking nano-chips hidden in the vaccine have improved her 5G cell reception by approximately two bars which is a welcome side effect.
I can’t comment on whether or not the vaccine has resulted in sterilization as we are not willing to take the risks involved in testing such a theory. I am personally hoping that the vaccine does cause permanent sterilization, since it is a lot quicker and less painful than a vasectomy, but something tells me it’s not likely to work as advertised by the nutcases on the interwebs.

We only have 4G here and as a result I've not noticed in any increase in the number of bars.
I had a vasectomy back in the 1970's & really do not remember the pain associated with it.

The only thing worse than having a vasectomy is having a second one because it didn't "take" the first time around. First time was honestly not very painful at all. The second time the doc said he went "more agressively" to make sure it worked and I definitely needed the frozen peas for a while.

Fortunately that was not the outcome, the swimmers were detected prior to reaching their destination.

I hope not! 2nd time was the charm though. He's a pretty funny guy though, I guess you have to have a pretty good sense of humor to do that kind of stuff for a living.

Wife (a nurse on a COVID floor) got the Pfizer and dad got the Moderna vaccine. My wife had some muscle pain but she seems to experience that with every vaccine injected in that way. My dad didn't notice any effects.
My wife and I received the first round of Moderna Vaccine on the 29th and 30th. Could not ghet an appointment together on the same day. Overall the process wasn't too bad. Many counties did the first come first serve basis and that is a recipe for disaster. Moderna is up here in MA, two locations, the People's Republic of Cambridge (an old Car Talk joke), and Norwood, just south of Boston. Employee group pictures on company website show a bunch of young folks.

@PoodlesAgain both Pfizer and Moderna have two shots mRNA vaccines. Moderna is four weeks part, easier to order in smaller quantities, and easier to store. Pfizer is 3 weeks apart, has to be ordered in larger quantities, and has to be stored at colder temperatures. They have almost the same rate of efficacy in the studies conducted but I guess we'll see how that actually plays out in the real world with a much larger sample size.
I'm amazed that medical science has developed tech that understand the mRNA sequences of a vaccine and then change the genetic code to create a vaccine. It's absolutely amazing!

A COVID vaccine is just scratching the surface of what this mRNA technology can do. These two very similar vaccines are the trial run for what could soon be a game changer with viruses and other things like many cancers.
I'm scheduled for my second Phizer shot on Tuesday. No effects after the first.
Now my shingles vaccination, on the other hand, put. me. down. 'Like a truck hit me. My booster is scheduled for later this month but I'm gonna push it back if I can because my immune system will still be swingin' away.
Last week I was diagnosed with "advanced arthritis" in both hips. The meds are a God send. My 51 year-old sockets look like somebody in his 70s, says the doctor. I played hockey with him so it was a locker room-like moment when I responded "probably not enough cushion to the pushin'." I was proud of that one.
Kidding aside, I am grateful that I only have little problems in my life . I am blessed in so many ways that I feel guilty sometimes.
C'mon second shot. C'mon heard vaccination and c'mon hanging out with friends when the time is right.
Glad you got the shingles vaccine too. Had shingles about 10 12 years ago and still have neuralgia from it. I'm an outlier with shingles pain this far out but it happens.That sh** hurt so bad I blacked out twice.
