October is normally our driest month (great time to come to Floriduh!) when we only get an average of 3.5" of rain for the month.
However, this month we have had 4+ inches of rain each & every day!
The TV weather folks are telling us we had 12+ inches of rain between midnight last night & noon today!
You see why sometimes I hate rain?

We had about that TOTAL for our Monsoon season at the airport(Jun-Sep), 3rd wettest on record. My house was closer to 20" based on the nearest NWS spotters rain gauge since we are closer to the mountains.

Yes, I hear you; when it is too much, it stops feeling pleasant. And can actually become a disaster.
Now, if you don´t experience power failures when it´s raining, then you´re blessed! I´d be happy to spend the rainy day visiting you as long as you have hot cocoa at hand!
We usually enjoy a rainy afternoon, but then we inmediately start panicking about power blackout, so the joy of the rain becomes anxiety...
Moral: Can´t have everything at the same time
PS: What´s your favorite guitar to play on rainy days like this one you´re having?

You can't play guitar with a scared dog in your lap, at least I can't.
Here we seldom have rain without thunder & lightning.
That scares the crap out of my boss Murphy.

I wish all you folks with rain problems could send some out to California. We've had like 2 inches of rain in almost a year and a half, we normally get maybe 5 inches a year. The last time it rained before two nights ago (for like 10 minutes) was last November, and that was about .25 inches :-/
