Location location location

For convenience' sake, I moved this practice amp to a cubby hole of my desk, where I am more likely to flip it on for quick ideas. It previously lived on a table at least 3 feet from any walls, where it sounded great - clean and full. I was quicky reminded how important the space is. In its new spot, the Spark sounded muddy and boomy (as you might guess from the picture). I spent the next couple of hours revoicing it for its surroundings.
The bad news, of course, is if I just want to grab the amp and go somewhere, the previous setup was really better for matching any open environment. But the good news is that I'm likely to use it more at the desk. And the better news is that yes, model based amps can pretty easily be tweaked to fit their environments. My tube amps are much more finicky about where they live.
