He was iconic with that BC Rich.
I'm familiar with his famous AOR radio rock tunes, but I had no idea how prolific this guy was. He was on Steely Dan's album Gaucho. He played guitar on Air Supply's "Making Love Out of Nothing at All" and Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart." He produced songs for the movie Bachelor Party. He worked with professional wrestling and produced "Weird Al" Yankovic's debut album. What an eclectic career.

He had a long history of collaberation with Both Edgar and Johnny Winter, a tribute to his skill as Edgar didn't hire just anyone.

Extremely prolific. Saw him back with Aerosmith and Jeff Beck at Old Comisky park with his band Derringer in 1976. Derringer had a twin guitar attack that rivaled Thin Lizzy at the time. Definitely worth a listen. He also had some great blues albums on the Shrapnel/Blues Bureau label in the early 90's. Played lead on Kiss "Larger Than Life" from Alive 2 and a few other Kiss tracks as well.
