This one took me a while. I barely slept last night and found it hard to focus and come up with some decent riffage, but in the end, this turned out to be a HELL OF A RIDE!

I hope you guys enjoy the tune and the lengthy solo at the end.

Sorry you had a rough night. Poor sleep is The Pits. At least you got a good song out of it. I enjoyed it, and thanks for the share.

I gotta say that your incredible run of songs is one of the only things that has made this crappy year tolerable. To put it in some old school perspective: if you were making LP's, you'd be somewhere around 8 to 9 full length albums by now!

Narsh and Buckethead are the only two guys putting out quality material at this rate. David T. Chastain used to have a high output, not sure what his is like now. He was a member of 3-4 bands at the same time IIRC.

Gearlist: A tele, a bass and a bunch of other stuff.

I listened to the whole solo. IMO your careful use of notes conveys more um.. soul than do the lightning-fast sections.

I loved it all, though.

I really appreciate you guys taking a listen, and glad the tunes are helping the year along for you! More tunes on the way for sure, I've been listening to a bit of Chris Buck and Satch lately so I'm sure things will slow down a bit.

To be quite honest, I'm not careful at all with my notes. That whole section of solos was improvised piece by piece, cut up and panned accordingly. I really have no idea what I am doing from a note choice perspective (wish I did) so I just noodle around and try to think a little bit ahead to not screw up.
Fast runs are different, because I think of each flurry of notes as an independent word in a sentence and not a group of words said fast. I know it make not make sense but if my runs were a sentence it would be something like:
"I'm not a huge fan of antidisestablishmentarianism, and trying to not preoccupy myself with anything negative so my focus is on being supercalifragalisticexpialidocious."

LOL - stupid I know but its how I heard guys like Paganini and Vivaldi compose so its my interpretation of that approach mixed with years of 80's shred guitar.

If that doesn't work then I always tell everyone, I'm Cuban, we are loud, obnoxious, talk a lot of crap most of the time but are romantics and wear our hearts on our sleeves. I think my playing reflects that.
