So a departure from the crazy metal stuff...

Taking another shot at something more in the Satch vibe. Hope you guys dig it. Its definitely not perfect and needs some work, but its progress none the less.

Damn man, that was awesome! I'm not that familiar with Satch's stuff, but what you got here is gold. The only thing I would change, and I know you're still working on it, would be to bring that solo guitar higher in the mix. I want to hear that tone soaring, but it was sometimes getting lost...

Paging Doc, you're gonna like this one...

1st off thanks man! Glad you liked the tune. I agree and reuploaded it with the leads a bit louder in the mix. I think the issue is that I had to dip the mids a bit in order to get a more satch like tone which doesn't let the leads cut as much. So hopefully its better now.

2nd I can't believe you aren't familiar with Satch! Mr Joe Satriani!!! Pick an album, any album. Just listen to anything. My first was Surfing with the Alien followed by Flying In a Blue Dream of which I learned most of the tunes when I was in my teens. My favorite album is "Joe Satriani". But seriously every album is amazing.

Yeah, I'm kind of a weirdo that way lol. Never got into Satch or Steve Vai that much, although I appreciate their talents. I was always more of a Neal Schon, Alex Lifeson, Rik Emmett guy.

That said, if you started learning Satriani stuff as a teenager, I think we now know why you're so f^%&$&ing good!
