Loose Hex Nut on Plug Jacks

This is sort of a spinoff question from dealing with the Schaller strap locks. Part of what I worked out on that was using some threadlock adhesive on the hex nut that holds the lock together. Another issue that I seem to constantly deal with is loose hex nuts on the plug jack on my Agile and Eastman guitar. I have a tool to tighten the nut with and it works for a few days or until the humidity changes and then it is loose again. My Jay Turser had the same problem until I hired a guy to do a setup on it probably about five years ago and I have never had a problem with that hex nut again. I am not sure what he did but I suspect he used either some thread lock adhesive or super glue.
I am sort of tempted to use a drop of threadlock on the hex nut of both my Agile and Eastman. I have the blue color which is supposed to be removable but I do not want to do anything that is going to mess the guitars up. Once I do it, I have no intention of removing the hex nut on the jack unless something was broken where it had to be removed or loosened to repair something. Have any of you all tried that, does it work, is it advisable to do?
There is probably a good reason why it is not done but I do not understand why guitar manufacturers just make the threads long enough to use a lock washer to help keep this from happening.
Give me some wisdom wise ladies and gentlemen.
