In a largely ineffective attempt to keep @slowhand84 from buying all the used guitars at Guitar Center, I jumped on this one last weekend, and it showed up today. After giving it a look over, it appears effectively brand new, not a spot on it that I can see. Brand new from HB its $340 plus shipping, from GC it was $320 with tax and shipping.
I haven't tried to play it yet...it came from Maine, went all across the country through heat and humidity, and was in the back of a UPS truck today at around 105 degrees and very little humidity, so I figured I'd give it a rest until tomorrow. Specs are pretty good on it, we'll see about the pickups and electronics once I plug her in.

Looks good! Hot tip - These Bentons always benefit from a little lemon oil on the fretboards as for some reason they often come from the factory kinda dry. Pops the grain a lil more and feels better too. Let us know how you like it!bleys21 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 29, 2022 9:41 pm In a largely ineffective attempt to keep @slowhand84 from buying all the used guitars at Guitar Center, I jumped on this one last weekend, and it showed up today. Yeah, set neck. Also smooth, no poly or anything else, which is really nice.
The only thing that's kind of an interesting choice is that the back and sides are painted black. I'm assuming that the mahogany they used for the body is probably not great looking, so opted for that to cover it up.
I will give it a clean up before I start messing with it...I'm thinking I'll probably restring it too. The strings don't look bad, in fact they don't look used at all. It really looks like whoever bought this got it, and then put it in their car and drove to Guitar Center and traded it in...
More info later...
