Lefty AL3125 on the verb

For Those who may not remember, the AL3125 was basically a 3100 with some chambering for weight relief. They were not too common, especially not in left handed config. This looks like a nice one with a nice case too. Price is a probably a little high but offers are accepted

Thanks for the heads-up. Judging from the production photos (always a risky thing to do with Rondo), it looks like the old style, thicker AL-31xxx series (small gap between the jack plate and the body binding). Based on the year of manufacture, it was probably one of the last of the old style L-3xxx guitars:

The price new with HSC back then was probably around $500 shipped so this one is priced higher than new. Seller is probably close to firm on the price too as there are two offers for it since it was listed a couple days ago. FWIW, there's an identical righty version also currently listed for $375 w/HSC although it does have a sanded neck...

Link to the righty by chance? I have a feed for agile and don’t recall seeing that one.

No worries. I actually made an offer on that one but he did not accept. I bid a little low based on the sanded neck.
There is a honey burst 3100 with a case out there that I’ve been trying to talk the guy Into shipping, big it’s his first listing and he’s a bit gun shy.

I pulled the trigger. Actually, I made an offer and it worked for him. The binding, tobacco burst on flame maple, the wide neck and the weight...
I saw it and thought, “damn, if I had money burning a hole in my pocket ” and a few hours later I discovered I had unexpected funds. He got all of it. I figured Kurt is winding down the brand and the range of southpaw models is narrowing. Don’t think there’s many of these.

I had been keeping an eye out for the 3000 model, although some of those were hefty. I forgot this one existed.

Congrats! I thought that might haven what you meant but it was a bit on the pricey side and with two offers already made, I figured he wasn't interested in going much lower than maybe 10% which still put it still well out side my limit of paying no more than 2/3rds the new value. Normally, I might have deviated a bit from that formula because of its rarity but i haven't really been in a buying mood lately...

The odds of a AL3xxxx from that era or earlier showing up in a color I like are pretty slim. I’ve been watching for a while. Tobacco is my favorite burst.

Try to put up a few pics of the real thing once you get it.
Also, how about a short synopsis of the Harley Benton double cutaway Junior you recently got? I know a lot of people have been eyeing that particular model...

I’ll definitely post pics.
Is there a HB thread? I’ll check.

I don't think there is one here yet but it's as good a time as any to start one...

Congrats. For all the reasons you mentioned I would have seriously considered this one if it was a righty. Mojo for safe shipping.

The box was in scary condition, but the case and guitar are fine. 8.25 lbs with very little signs of play wear. This is my first 1 3/4" nut and I really like it.

LOL, I was one of the other bids. I tried to get him to bite at $330. What did you end-up getting it for? It's a beauty.

I can't recall ever having any problems with a 3000 series harness although I've replaced a couple of the box toggle switches with a Switchcraft type just because. Anyway, I know of at least two projects sitting in your closet that should take precedence over that...
