Been looking at it, but no, I can't. To me, Its only redeeming quality is having the old headstock. It lacks the appointments of the 3000M (it's just a 3000, so no 3/4" maple cap). The finish is meh. I'm ok with it not having binding, but all things considered, I think it's way overpriced for what it is. It looks just like the school al-3000Ms, that didn't have binding, down to the sparkly creme pick guard a TR cover.I had one, and it was great. I also had a separate older 3000m that came with a 3000 (no M) truss cover.
It being one of the originals, it's hard to be certain. But if I were to bet, I'd be all in on it being an AL-3000m.
I agree it is somewhat overpriced, but not outlandishly so. Original price should not matter that much, replacement cost today is more important.

Got mine too. Just posted in the latest gear thread. If you have the monoprice 15 tube amp the foot switch works to turn reverb on/off with button 2. Seems they had some cabs that were supposed to be bundled with the 30W head that they unbundled. At first I was bummed that I didn't get the cable I expected. I ran to my local shop and got one and hooked everything. Was pleasantly surprised that the foot switch worked with my amp. Now I'm glad I got the footswitch and not the speaker cable.
