New Guitar Day Catch Up Squier Strat

During the time of the MOMO disaster, I did purchase a Surf Green Squier standard strat on Ebay. Of course the intention was to modify said strat, which I did. Mods are as follow: Pickguard from Warmouth, 330k vol & tone pots with3way toggle from GFS , 0 ring knobs from Ebay (imports), a very nice green leather strap with celtc embossed design and last but not least Kent Arnstrong Sky P90s. (again both on Ebay via UK)

Looks like some pretty significant flame on the back of that neck.

That turned out really nice! Green may not be my color but I hate white pickguards with a passion (they don't even match a white guitar usually). That's a really nice pickguard, I wish it was that easy to just buy a pickguard for all guitars. SJM/Liquid are obviously not common, but my Squier P/J bass just has a differently shaped pickguard even from other Squiers, SX basses, etc.

And obviously the world can use more dual P90 strats. There are "super strats", "fat strats", "uber strats", maybe this can be a "muscle strat". And the particular one... could be a Hulk

I've been curious about 300k vs 500k for P90's, wonder what you have to say. Personally I kind of lean towards the concept that you can always roll off some highs, but can't add them back and I haven't found P90's to bee too ice-picky, but definitely want to hear every data point.

Nice... I've been thinking about building a Strat with 3P90s for a while now... Does that have a swimming-pool rout? For that matter, do they even make Squier Standards anymore? It looks like that has the new logo on the headstock, but they don't seem to be available anywhere (maybe they all got bought up after the lock-down?)

I like it. Good Celtic colors. All stratists need at least a few p90 Strat configurations.

I've tried quite a few different combinations of pickups and pots. I like the 330ks because they give a nice middle ground. The highs are not harsh and the lows are mellow. I forgot to mention I am using a 47uf capacitor in it as well. All I can say is that it is about personal preference and individual taste. I also have a strat that I put in Rockfield humbuckers with the 220k pots and I really like the sound on it as well. I actually came up with the 330ks several projects ago and have them in several guitars.

Nice... I've been thinking about building a Strat with 3P90s for a while now... Does that have a swimming-pool rout? For that matter, do they even make Squier Standards anymore? It looks like that has the new logo on the headstock, but they don't seem to be available anywhere (maybe they all got bought up after the lock-down?)

This strat had H-S-H routs in it. I like to keep the configurations down to two pickups and single volume and tone controls so I can use a 3 way toggle. Pretty simple setup. Oh that is the original decal on the headstock, by the way.

Actually that flaming shows up better in the photo than in person. However it is a really nice unfinished neck. Very smooth

No routing had to be done as the routs beneath the P90s were already humbucker routs. Just had to order a pickguard with P90 cutouts.

I said it was Squier standard because there was no "Affinity" or "Bullet" designation on the head stock. However I am led to believe while this guitar was certainly new, it was probably NOS.

It can't be that old... It has the new font that they switched to when they changed up the Squier line (when they discontinued the Vintage Modified series).

This is the old logo font on the '72 Custom I bought a couple of years ago:

My Bullet doesn't say "bullet" anywhere either. As far as I know you can tell by the serial number letter (in the beginning) what plant it is made by, i.e. mine is made in Indonesia and the letter "C" means it's the Cort facility. In my case it's "ICSE20...", meaning "Indonesia", then "Cort", then SE (not sure what that stands for), then "20" is the year of production. Likewise on my JM it's "Indonesia", "Court" and "12" for 2012.

EDIT: from magnifying your green strat it looks to me like Indoneisan Cort 2019 production

This on says "ICS19" so I assume it is a 2019 and it is made in Indonesia as well. No letter "E" though.
