Here's a blast from my past. July 1982, Burleson, Texas at a teen club called Dalton's Corner. Battle of the bands night. We're all 17-18 years old and just learning to play.

Gear for this night was a CB700 5 piece drum kit, with a Memphis LP into a Peavey Special, and I was playing a Precision knockoff from some vendor I don't remember direct to board. We were first band on and didn't get a sound check. My brother on drums, and me bass/lead vox. A couple of our HS friends are playing guitar and singing backing vox.

We were making a loud noise and loved it!

Hahaha...I hesitated to post this because of how--frankly--amateurish it sounds, but for me, it brings back the feeling of discovering music and rock and roll for the first time.

Other geek stuff--this was transferred to digital from my Realistic reel to reel first gen master.
