It kinda pains me a little... Ordinarily I'd be all over this like a hobo on a ham sandwich, but I'm holding out for a Gretsch 5622, and I just dropped some coin on a modeler/effects thingy this weekend, so I'll just have to live vicariously through whoever ends up getting one.

Don't blame you, I'd take a 5622 over a Tele any day of the week!
Yes, I own both, tho not the one you link to. Mine is an MIJ Tele with Duncan pups.
Yes, while it's true that one can never have too many Telecasters, I would just be buying this because of the color, and that's not a good enough reason to spend $500 when I already have 6 Teles and no Gretches.

It's been a while since Adorama ran a Gretsch special. I actually bought ( and then flipped ) 3 of those deals - 2 5420's and a 5622. I kind of wish I would have kept the 5622 as production on many of those Electromatics is now China.

Yeah, well, the world's made in China now... and that's a problem. I wouldn't mind at all if more guitar companies would move their import manufacturing to Indonesia, like Ibanez and Squier. My AS93FM was made in Indonesia, and that guitar is top-shelf. And there wasn't a thing wrong with the VM '70s Tele Custom that I owned, either (except the fake WRHB sounded like shite, but oh well).

Made in China is not always bad. Look at Eastman for example. Epiphone seems to have figured it out too. And I would imagine the Chinese versions of the Electromatics are nice too, but the Korean ones were REALLY nice I had 2 5420's for a while and they were both about as flawless and finely crafted as you could ever ask for.
Having said that, I picked up a used Agile Harm and that's really scratched the semi-hollow itch well, and I especially like the smaller body. If I ever got another Gretsch it would very likely be a 5622t

I wasn't saying anything about the quality of the guitars made there.

I thought I'd forget about the 5622 after I got the Ibanez, but the Gretsch sound is an itch that other guitars can't reach.
And of course, it would be the 5622T for me too. I already gave myself permission to spend the extra money the first time I saw it. To get a Gretsch without a Bigsby just doesn't seem right to me.

that is a sweet deal!
The LPB is not my first choice but man that is nice, esp. with the maple fretboard.
I'm high on Teles right now since getting the $90. Indio and loving it.
I'm more interested in Teles now but: the Indio is scratching the itch, yet growing the GAS.

I'm almost ashamed to say it, but I play my 5622T a lot more than my 6120.
Well that's saying something... Not helping my GAS. The first time I saw a 6120 in real life, it was a near religious experience. I thought it was the most beautiful guitar I had ever seen... And it was orange! I only played bass and keys back then, though, so I just gawked at it.

I understand!
For reasons no one has ever been able to explain, my 6120 arrived at the dealer in a box marked B-STOCK.

No one has ever figured out why Gretsch marked it a B-Stock but I'm not complaining because it allowed me to buy it for about $2k off!
