So I've been posting about acoustic guitars I've been buying and resale for a while so I just now put these purchsaes and sales on paper nad I have lost about $200 in all these. Well I guess so I just ordered the guitar I've wanted since started this hunt. It is the Yamaha LL16 it is hand made by one luthier in their shop in Hamamastsu, Japan. These guitars are $2409 new at Sweetwater (https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail ... bo-natural) and GC had a used one in very good condition for $1500 now I have got some killer deals from them on their used gear department over the years so I'm hoping this one is in great condition and it is finally the acoustic I've been seareching for. I have a LL16 it's little brother made on a production line in China and it is a great guiutarsounds good, plays good but just lacking something. If this don,t do it for me I'll freturn it and brush the dust off my credit card and find a D28 to try next but the thing with Martins I've found is that no 2 sound alike so limited in that search by finding multiples of that guitar.
Now I am finally going to sale my PS900 in excellent condition I installed Grover 406C locking tuners, new TUSK XL nut the old one had been damaged and repaired with baking soda and super glue and looked bad a new set of Guitar Fetish ALINCO 2 PAF style pups set up etc. It's in really great shape so I'm thinking $300 do you guys think that's reasonable?

Looks like an awfully nice guitar there - hope it's all you are hoping it will be! I did notice that the link you shared is to a yamaha dread - I'm guessing you were referring to the LS26? https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail ... rt-natural. Yep, just about every guitar sounds different, even the same model from the same factory. I hope this one is a winner for you.

Regarding your PS900 that sounds like a fair asking price to me, of course it all depends on the buyer, right?

My guitar came today and WOW I've never had an acoustic that sounds as good and the build quality is superb. I owned and played a Gibson L4-A a Rosewood Jumbo guitar for years and loved it and it was an awesome cannon but I believe this Rosewood Jumbo Yamaha beats it in almost every way. I'll post a picture of the Gibson as well I traded it with a friend and he still has that Gibson I'll have to swing by and put them up against each other.
Now when I got it it came in one of those ssoft hardshell cases I'm not sure the correct name but it seems very capable of protecting the guitar.

Now for full disclosure I looked up the age by the serial number and it was born in June of 2000 so it's 22 years old and it has a scratch on the top and a small dent thats it. The gold is worn off the tuners but they still function well I did have to clean and oil them and I am going to replace them. This guitar has been played but loved and well taken care of I wouldn't be surprised if it's been used for gigging or recording. It didn't take me long to decide it was a keeper it just sounds soooo good. It didnt come with electronics so I ordered a pickup for it and opted for a soundhole mounted one here's a link to one I went for.

Also on that bench was my new Blackstar Debut 10 SS amp and I hadn't taken the time to introduce him. I wanted a small amp on my bench I moved my work area to the bedroom got a 48" folding table. I settled on the Blackstar Debut 10 and man did it surprise me especially with it just has 2 3" speakers amazing little amp. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail ... mp-with-fx

Ok I've had this LL26 in my hands for a few days including a jam session with a buddy and it's absolutley awesome. I've played so many acoustic guitars this last year as well as bought and sold a bunch all of them good guitars but none in the same class as this guitar. They are handmade in Yamaha's custom shop in Hamamatsu, Japan by a single luthier and build quality is incredible the tone spectacular and I have finally found my forever acoustic.

You're killing me with these posts. I've been eyeballing the LS16 and LS16m models for a while now. I'm not quite ready to jump into 2k+ yet for a 26 series, but I may get the 16 series before the year is up. Sure would be nice to handle one of these in person though.

I bought whatever the 2015 model of the Blackstar practice amp was back in 2015. One thing I love that they have fixed is put a three prong plug in the back of the amp instead of a power supply and cord that has a male and female connection in the back. I still use mine and think it sounds really good with an acoustic guitar. Sounds like my model and yours has the same setup with the little speakers. The knobs are different and I think yours looks cooler. Love the colors on yours. I found mine to be a great set a of speakers for an MP3 player or to play over jam tracks.
