Only took them a farking MONTH! Since the old board is down I can't verify the last part. Anyone with an ID on MOFO please verify that any posts under the ID "AxeGlove" are gone. Thanks!
"Greetings from MOMO BOARD.
Thank you for your patience.
We've successfully deleted your account information and contents from MOMO BOARD and/or AGUITARFORUM.
You look to be gone, Patrick. I was able to find other members using the search function over there but not you...

Me too, and happy to be out of their database (assuming that's true).
Same. If I try to visit the old site on mobile it takes me to the Momo forum. I went to Google and typed in my username and a project on "what's on your workbench now", Google shows the link but if you click on the link it says post deleted.
Even though it's now public, while I am able to log into the MOMO board, I am unable to join the AGF "board" or any of the former sub-forums that are now independent boards (and not all of them survived the migration) but can, by way of an incredibly convoluted process, bring up individual threads.
A couple weeks ago I received messages that I was "dismissed" from the main AGF forum as well as the sub-forums. The entire site is a mess, pages load slowly and inconsistently (sometimes something loads, sometimes it doesn't), there are a lot of grammatical and syntax errors in text that make it obvious that English was not a primary language nor did they have anyone who it was proof read.
I've got a dummy account I created which I'll use sometime later to see if I can join the AGF forum. Regardless, I can still inconsistently access my old threads by using the MOMO Chat feature, some of my responses in PMs (but not the other participants' responses) and members' threads by searching for the member by name and then selecting the "Posts" tab.
The last new post I was able to see was from 6/16/20, I don't know if that was the last post in the MOMO AGF, a result of being manually locked out or just the site being messed up. All in all, it's a disaster and really completely unusable....

Got my email today too, yay! I still can't fathom the thought processes behind how this whole deal was handled. It really takes a special kind of obliviousness (or blind greed) to think any of the actions taken were good ideas. I think someone really has to look up the word "community" in the dictionary.
That being said, I hope the momo folks, who you'd THINK would understand what a "community" is since that's supposedly the core of their business, actually do some research into what makes a community and what's important to them, and start working to facilitate their growth. In the long run their site would be a lot more successful vs. the short term data mining money grab model they're apparently pursuing now.

Got mine yesterday, too. We're free!
I'm still salty though
Yup, I get that but right now I'm OK. However, I'm waiting to have a really bad day in the market and substitute the "kick the dog" reflexive response with a few emails to some of the publicly listed MOMO investors giving examples and asking if they know how their money is and has been wasted...

they can eat a bag of dicks
What did the bag of dicks ever do to you?
Actually recently doing some research maybe on a carlo robelli your post came up on the new mofo agf. Or maybe it was Tonray's Ghost ?
It showed most of the first post then offered to install an app to continue reading.
Got mine today too. Not that what I had was any real value but screw them - Treat them the way Sherman did Georgia. That was meant as scorched earth not political.
They said I needed to delete my other boards before they could delete me, so my protest within Momo has been deleted and hopefully they will be deleting me soon.
I will say that site is the one of the most frustrating forum style sites I have ever used. It is so buggy and awkward to use. I am pretty tech savvy and can normally figure stuff out quickly, but even after figuring it out, it is so ass backwards the way it is laid out as soon as I removed the protest boards. I gave up trying to figure out what the notifications I was seeing along the top ribbon were since they seemed to go to nowhere.

Are you suggesting that the Momo board itself is public? ( the old AGF content? ). When i browse to the .com site it takes me directly to the new momo platform, but the only active link I see is "Join". There is an icon for a public site, but it is not active in my browser. I've tried to purposefully not go there to avoid giving them clicks.
Yup...today's the day for me too. I have been officially released from the MOFO jail. I feel like Andy on the Shawshank movie when he emerges from the sewer pipe in the rain! Didn't bother to reclaim all my photos or posts. I'll just start over at some point. Just did not have the free time for it.

What they mean as "Public" is that you have to "Join" to view content. LOL!

I got the notification today. I'm still a little sad about it because of the memories that are now gone, but having been banned anyway makes it more bearable.
